The Numbat Trail is a challenging 12 kilometre loop offering some of the most spectacular views of the surrounding Avon Valley. Located within the Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary there is an abundance of native fauna and flora along the well maintained paths with a variety of landscapes that will keep you distracted from the climbs.
The Numbat Trail is highly regarded as one of Perths best hiking trails. A challenging hike with many steps that tests even the fittest of hikers but those willing to tackle the steep inclines are well rewarded with some of the most stunning views of the Avon Valley. The sanctuary runs a rehabilitation program that provides a home for dozens of native bird species, reptiles, amphibians, kangaroos, echidnas, quendas, possums and wallabies with sightings a plenty throughout the hike.
