Our seventh day was from Pither Reserve to Carrah Farm, an 18km adventure and it was by far, my favourite day and the fastest day.
Why, because we were completely refreshed. After we got completely smashed from the rain the day before, we all welcomed the hot shower, wood fire and comfort of the house at Carrah Farm. I think we all fell asleep the moment our heads hit the pillow.
It was decided that we would get up early, have a nice brekky and then smash out the 18km day. This section is literally just one long flat road, walking along Old Plains Rd, not very exciting so we wanted to get it over and done with so we could get back to the farm and put our feet up for the rest of the day.
and that we did. We had sent Dave into Toodyay to pick up a couple of roasts cause the plan was always to have a feast for our last night on the trail. Lisa's husband Neil was also going to join us.
Judy, Hazel and myself absolutely smashed through the 18kms in about 3 hours. Lisa was feeling a little sore so took a little bit longer but boy did we enjoy a lazy afternoon out of the rain.
and the magic of the sun setting over the farm on another day.
Hopefully this post inspires you to visit and if so, we would love to hear your thoughts on the trail. Please feel free to tag us in your adventures.
